REVIEW TO SUBMISSION

Prepare the change.

Git commits and Perforce changelists keep their own workflow, with consistent file review and history views.

Git

Working tree → commit

Choose what to commit.

Review staged changes and leave unfinished work for later.

  1. 1

    Review the diff

Read unified, split, or image diffs. Open the file in your editor for more context.

  2. 2

    Stage the change

Stage a file, hunk, or selected lines. Review the staged diff before committing.

  3. 3

    Commit and check history

Create a commit, find it in the graph, and compare revisions.

Perforce

Opened files → changelist

Organize the changelist.

Group opened files and review pending or shelved changes before submission.

  1. 1

    Sync and reconcile

Browse workspace or depot files, sync revisions, and reconcile local edits.

  2. 2

    Organize and shelve

Move files into a numbered changelist. Shelve them for review while keeping local edits.

  3. 3

    Submit and check history

Review the diff and description, submit, then follow file revisions in History.

TOOL INTEGRATION

Use the tools you know.

Git and Perforce operations run through your installed command-line tools.

Choose your executables

Select Git and p4 in Settings. Keep your repository configuration, hooks, filters, and signing.

Open your editor or merge tool

Edit files in your editor. Use configured diff and merge tools for comparisons and conflicts.

Set up SSH access

Generate an SSH key pair and copy the public key for your Git server.

Choose language and appearance

Use tabs, shortcuts, and the command palette. Choose English or Simplified Chinese, light or dark themes.

Diagnostic files stay on your device and are not uploaded automatically. Rebasely is open source under the MIT License.

Download the macOS Apple Silicon or Windows x64 release.

  2. 02

PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before you install.

Which platforms are available?

Download macOS Apple Silicon or Windows x64 builds. Linux users can build from source with the Tauri platform prerequisites.

Which command-line tools are required?

Install Git for Git repositories, or the Perforce CLI (p4) for Perforce workspaces. Select the executable in Settings if needed.

Where are my repositories stored?

Local repositories and workspace files stay on your device. Remote operations use Git or Perforce to connect to the servers you configure.

Does the demo change a real repository?

No. It uses invented data in your browser. Staging, committing, shelving, and submitting never affect a real repository.
